Hi, I am Mark Zinskie.

I own and operate Bonestar Music and Studio 630. This is a representation of my personal musical journey. It began as a youngling at home. My father was an electronics supervisor at Weston Schlumberger in Eynon, Pennsylvania. At an early age I was introduced to potentiometers, diodes, reel to reel recorders, and the likes of such. At home, we had a radio tranceiver were we would have phun broadcasting to the world. My father was an amateur radio operator under his handle K3FHI. From my earliest recollection in life, I was mezmorized by "The Sound Wave." I believe my recordings are quite possibly the only way that my soul can live on and travel infinitely through space and time. If I am not mistaken, science has deemed this a plausible theory. My signature sound began at age 11 with a Yamaha keyboard. I never chose a life of rehearsing or trying to impress with virtuoso play. Instead I approached Keyboard and Drum with the likeness of let's say a ouija board. It has sometimes distanced me with my musical comtemporaries, but that approach has sent me on my own unique journey into the sonic realm. At this point, my music simply becomes an extention of my imagination. A background soundtrack to the days of my life. Something clicks in my head. Feeling the need to journey into the public ear, I turn to Rock and Roll. So out of the frying pan and into the fire. I go on the great pub crawl tour with two of my friends, Jay Luke and Jon Molitoris and play some Electric/Acoustic shows with their band "The Mess." Grateful for the exposure and the good times we keep that stint alive for a few shows. It wasn't what I was looking for. After playing quite a bit of shows, Jon splits and begins a nice string of shows with a modern rock sort of act called "The Sound Before Lightning." David Zaustowicz and I hook up with a Jay Luke who is eager to keep "The Mess" banner alive and have some good times with a string of shows. Meanwhile, I go to work with some of the best studio musicians I have ever played with. "Smokin MaMa and The Brethren." With ties to Bob Wier, Bonnie Rait, Victor Wooten and other national musicians, I was impressed. The abilities of the band were truley unique. Led by a fierce guitarist, Jon Frankevich and rock steady drummer Jim Smallcomb, bassist Pat Mengenello and myself on percussion and drums. I shared many a great jam with this crew. Jim's son Mathew, plays with the national act "The Collective." But truthfully, I just don't know why that band didn't work out. Maybe someday it will. I loved my time with that band. What now. A group of exciting players evolves in my home town. What started off as a psychedelic experiment, "The Witchcraft Panty" takes flight. A six man jamband forms. We start booking some shows. Of witch, Keystone College, is still to this day one of the favorite days of my life on God's great earth. We played a bill with NEPA's own Morning Pride, in a battle of the bands. I was glad to meet those boys. They certainly are talented musicians. Expecially Mike Mizwinski and Matt Kester. The Panty Band was comprised of Kevin Cucura on Guitar, Founding Bassist Dave Zaustowicz, Drummer, Ron Mercetilli, Guitarist, Eric Harvey, Robert Negvesky on keys, and myself. With some internal combustion that band goes seperate ways and spawns two new bands. Kevin Cucura picks up his brother, Paul, A lifetime phriend to all the above, and forms "The Foggy Water Groove." Dave and I are then joined by Jon for a show with a three piece electric band called "The That." Feeling the need for fraternity and that big band thing, we put together "The Whiskey Damnation Band." We played a gig with Ed Kucha, Dave Zaustowwicz, John Molitoris, Kile Gilboy and myself. That was much phun.......but that group went their own ways. To the present.....We play a gig with our Blues, Rock band, "The Blues Nova" over the winter session and had a sucessful outing. The boys played a solid show and alot of our friends, family, and extended family showed up for a good night of rock and roll. Since that gig,I have been focusing on my solo album, self-titled "Bonestar", a  strange collection of off-beat sounds and meditations meant to provide the listener with a sonic quest instead of a rock number to listen to. I would like to thank all the personnel who have participated in our studio effort. "It" meaning "The Music" will always be just for phun. Congratulations to one of my good friends, Jay Luke www.myspace.com/themess for landing a nice gig, Jay and his "Mess" will be opening for legendary Guns and Roses member Duff McKagen and his band in Allentown in May. Jay has also opened for such national acts as Metal Church and To Die For......in closing the studio family welcomes once again the spirit and human invocation of The Reverend Jasper, he is a great talent on The Scranton Underground Scene. The Rev has scene plenty of action on the rock circuit including national touring and is like a set of 8 d Energizers at improv night. Long livith the Joe! To all our friends, family and extended family, enjoy the summer and see you soon.

Peace and Love!
